VTR Conventions

The Minnesota Triumphs Club has hosted the national Vintage Triumph Registry (VTR) convention three times in its history.

2018 VTR National Convention

The club hosted the 2018 VTR in LaCrosse, WI, on July 17- 21. The dates were picked for optimal weather conditions, and as history proved the week was almost perfect with cooler temperatures and very little rain. We had the serenity of the Mississippi on one side of our host hotel and on the other a great view of Triumphs that came from all over America with the backdrop of a historic little town loaded with amenities that all Triumph owners could wish to have. The folks of LaCrosse rolled out the welcome mat.

2002 VTR National Convention

The club hosted its second VTR National Convention at the Treasure Island Resort & Casino near Red Wing, Minnesota on Tuesday, July 16 to Friday, July 20, 2002. There were about 250 cars in attendance. At this convention, the club established itself as a concours club with winning 14 CONCOURS and ONE PARTICIPANTS’ CHOICE TROPHIES as well as 20 CERTIFICATES OF EXCELLENCE!!

The weather was ideal for the event with temperatures in the 70’s and 80’s. The club was fortunate to have chosen Tuesday thru Friday for the event because on Saturday, the traditional day for the concours, it rained very hard.

The event was a financial success and at the end, all volunteers wondered what they would do with their spare time.
