Remote Clutch Slave Bleeder Having to replace a leaking clutch slave cylinder on my 78 Spitfire I realized that now would be the time to deal with the future bleeding of the system. I ran across a tip by Reed Simmons “Making Clutch Bleeding Easy”. It seemed like it was the way to go so here is my contribution to his tip; a parts list and photos. The photos should be pretty much self-explanatory and the parts were purchased from a local Bumper to Bumper auto store for about $14, including tax.
P.S. While I had the tunnel cover off for this project I used a
2-1/2” hole
saw to make an access hole for the transmission fill plug on
the right side. I then made a cover for the hole using a 4
x 4 electrical
handy box cover and a couple screw clips. Now checking/changing
the oil is simply a matter of pulling back the carpet and removing
the
access cover. |
