October 10, 2013 Meeting MinutesPresident Larry Berg called the meeting to order at 7:10 p.m.
This month, we had two new people at our meeting: Kimberly Morales has a 1974 Spitfire and Jim Stephan has a 1974 TR6.
There were a couple of stories of people making their way back from the national VTR convention, including Bill Nelson who encountered car troubles and had to have his Spitfire towed home for the last 100 miles.
Regarding last month's ballot, the position of Secretary was still open. Andy Lindberg volunteered to take that role, completing the ballot.
Also, Larry mentioned that our current Regalia solution of an online store is fine, but he would really prefer to have a club member take the Regalia Chairman position. If anyone's interested, please contact Larry.
Event coordinators Terry Mackey and Dick Leighninger mentioned that the Fall Color Tour was coming up on Sat., Oct. 12, followed by the High Tea on Oct. 20.
There's a Tech Session scheduled for Oct. 19 to work on a 1959 TR3. Then the Winter Bash is planned for Jan. 26 with details to come.
Terry Mackey spoke of his adventure to the national VTR convention. All told, he added about 5,300 miles to his odometer.
We also had a report on the Wamandee Hill Climb, where there were 42 cars and lots of fun. Past-president Jeremy Fohrenkamm won 2nd place (beaten only by a Porsche 911 of questionable street-legalness).
As the final order of business, the ballot for the 2014 Officers (with the addition of Andy as Secretary) was accepted and approved. The new officers are:
