January 10, 2013 Meeting
President Larry Berg called the meeting to order at 7:02 p.m.
Larry led the group in thanking Bob Reed for sponsoring our meetings at the Officer's Club. He then asked each elected official to give an update on plans for the upcoming year.
Treasurer Rick Hansen said we ended 2012 with about $100 more than where we started. We have more than $1,500 in checking and more than $7,300 in savings. Rick reported that he is still working on reinstating the club's tax-exempt status.
Membership Chair Joe DeMuth mentioned that he would like the club's official mailbox to be changed to his home address. Rick mentioned the change would only make sense since he uses his home address for tax purposes. Joe also mentioned that membership dues for 2013 should be paid before the end of March.
Newsletter Chair Orrin McGill mentioned that submissions for newsletter articles should be submitted by the 20th of the month. He also reminded everyone about British Car Week, which is a nation-wide get-together in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
Secretary Fred Olson said any updates to the content on the website can be sent to him.
Event volunteers Dick Leighninger and Terry Mackey mentioned that they have about 25 events on the list for the upcoming year. Anyone wanting to host or plan an event can contact them.
Historian Greg Gelhar said he'd be happy to receive any historical information that group members have collected. He said that since most people take pictures digitally now, he hasn't seen many print photographs.
Joe Bisanz reported that anyone hoping to attend the VTR National Convention in the San Francisco should make hotel reservations soon.
As far as Regalia, Larry mentioned that he has a friend who can handle all of our regalia needs online.
Finally, Dick reminded everyone that the Winter Dance is coming up on Jan. 27.
Larry adjourned the meeting at 7:47 p.m.
